Volunteer Opportunities for
GIANTS: African Dinosaurs created by Project Exploration
(Exhibit runs September 6 – December 30)

If you're interested in volunteering for any of the positions listed below, please fill out the online application or contact Jennifer Ford at the Adult Services Information Desk. Jennifer can also be reached at 847-429-4599 and at jford@nsls.info.

Docents: Docents will give scripted tours for groups of 15 or less. Each tour lasts approximately one hour. Docents should commit to volunteering at least once a week for 2- to 4-hour shifts (4 hours preferred). Training begins in late August.

Gift Shop Cashiers: Cashiers will run the cash register in the gift shop. Cash register experience is helpful but not required. Other assignments (stocking, assisting, bagging, etc.) will be available at the DinoStaur. Commit to volunteering at least once a week for 2- to 4-hour shifts (4 hours preferred).

Translators: Translators are needed on an occasional/as-needed basis to translate written materials from English to Spanish.

Digital photographer: A photographer will be needed occasionally to cover events. A digital camera will be provided, if necessary.

We will also need occasional help with assembling materials for mailings.
