Hector served in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2006. He was deployed to Iraq twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I and III with The 3rd Infantry Division, Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Along with his work as The Big Read Coordinator, he works at Hines VA Hospital.
