Poet Gwendolyn Brooks, playwright Lorraine Hansberry, populist historian Studs Terkel and novelist Richars Wright inspired social change in America by telling stories about the people they lived and worked with in Chicago, writing about their hopes and dreams as well as the barriers they encountered and fought. This exhibit is from the American Writers Museum and cosponsored by the Chicago History Museum. |
