2021 (March 3 – March 31)

This historic pandemic has brought the importance of health to the fore. It seems fitting that during Women's History Month we highlight women healthcare leaders within the community who worked to ensure that local residents had the proper healthcare. Learn about these leaders who established and ran AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital, Advocate Sherman Hospital, the Community Crisis Center and more.

Women Honoring Women

Celebrating 36 Years of Women in the Elgin Community
Tuesday, March 16 | 7 pm
During Women’s History Month, it is our honor to take a step back and review the recipients of the YWCA Elgin Leader Luncheon Awards and highlights. We are inspired by the women who break the rules, raise their voices, and change the way we think about ourselves, about women, and about the role they’ve played in shaping our community. It is important to celebrate the contributions of women in our society, and this very important event highlights the contributions of these women in our community. Panelists: Nancy Schueneman, Donna Anderson, Murna Hansemann, Betty Brown, Mary Camacho, and Dr. Clare Ollayos.
