Michaelangelo and Raphael want to take photos with kids (and their families) who have signed up for the Reading is Rad Summer Reading Challenge.

Please bring your Summer Reading Log or have the Beanstack app open to the registration badge. The number of photos will be limited to one per family.

BEANSTACK REGISTRATION PRIZE: Children ages birth through 8th grade who sign up in Beanstack can stop by their local Gail Borden Library location and pick up a small turtle toy and a Gail's Sale coupon.  

Finishing Prizes

Readers of all ages can participate in the summer reading challenge and receive prizes just for finishing such as local business coupons. Children 8th grade and under also receive a free book! 

Grand prize drawings for prizes such as a Board book & puzzle bundle, a DUPLO set, Squishmallows, gift cards, and more!


This year’s summer reading Family Adventure Prize will be a family membership to the Shedd Aquarium. Families that complete summer reading will get a chance to enter the drawing for this adventure!


Summer reading finishers can pick up their prizes at any library location from July 1 to August 4.
